Court sentences TSR Jowan to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor

When the keeper becomes the eater, it must be understood that the society is on the way to destruction. And many people think that it is not possible to save the society from that destruction. But it has been proven to be false in the judgment of the court over and over again. Additional District and Sessions Judge Debashish Kar of Vishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court sentenced the TSR jawan accused of raping a minor to 20 years imprisonment under the POCSO Act. The incident happened on Thursday afternoon. As a result, people's faith in the law became stronger.

Reportedly, the victim's family had filed a case against Babul Das, a TSR jawan of Naik designation, for allegedly raping the minor at Vishalgarh Womens' Police Station on 19/09/2020.  The accused TSR jawan Babul Das was arrested on the same date by Vishalgarh Womens' Police Station. Accused TSR Jowan Babul Das received a case under Indian Penal Code 376 A/B Of IPC Section and 4 Of Pocso Act and handed him over to the court the next day on 20/09/2020.

It is alleged that on September 17, 2020, Babul Das took the opportunity of solitude and called a 10-year-old minor girl to his house and forcibly raped her. Keeping him in jail for a long year and taking the testimony of 13 people in the CASE, on Thursday afternoon, the Additional District and Sessions Judge Debashis sentenced the accused TSR Jawan with 20 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2 lakh, and more  ordered 3 years imprisonment and Rs 5000 as fine along with 6 months imprisonment if not paid. 

It is known that the District and Sessions Judge Debashis Kar gave a historic verdict in Vishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court on POCSO Act on Thursday. The investigation officer of the case was SI Jhuma Das of Vishalgarh Mahila Police Station. The case was handled by Special Public Prosecutor Ripan Sarkar. The public breathed a sigh of relief after the verdict was announced in Vishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court on Thursday.
