Stolen gold chain recovered, detained one

The famous gold jeweler of the state i.e. Swarna Kamal Jewelers of Udaipur has opened a shop in Udaipur Central Road from Agartala and started business since several months. It is doing business with reputation in Udaipur.  On Thursday, a young man from Udaipur Amtali came to buy a necklace and at some point took the necklace in his pocket and went home.  It was later noticed by store employees that the chain was not sold and was not in the store.  After a lot of searching, the CCTV camera finds out that a young man pocketed the gold chain. Later a written complaint was lodged at the Radhakishorpur Police Station on behalf of Swarna Kamal Jewellers. OC Babul Das took the case and brought a person named Rashid Mia from Udaipur Amtali to the police station along with the stolen gold chain late on Thursday night. OC Mr Das said the weight of the chain is 7.8 grams, PS case number 16/2024. Police have started investigation under section 380 IPC. Police is trying to find out from Rashid Mia what other crimes he is involved in.
