TWO MINOR GIRLS FACES MOLESTATION BY UNCLE (MAMA)

Teliamura Representative, CRIME REPORT

Two minors become victims of sexual harassment again in the state! But is the public of the state safe? To address the incident, the Teliamura subdivision police officials along with some officers from the Teliamura police station, as reported by sources within the district police department  have allegedly been seen trying to suppress information about the incident by up and doing in the field.

According to reports, in the incident under discussion, two minors, approximately 8 years old, from a landless colony under the jurisdiction of Teliamura police station in Chakmaghat area, faced severe retaliation in a sexual harassment incident. This allegation was lodged at the Teliamura police station on Friday night under case number 11/2024/Teliamura police station. This case mentions sections US 354(B)/506 IPC & 08 POSCO. Subsequently, the police initiated an investigation into the incident. Taking charge of the investigation, on Saturday morning, the police took the two minors to Teliamura subdivision hospital for a medical examination.

However, regarding when the incident occurred, although the families of the two minors could not specify anything, they have informed that they learned about the incident from the children on Friday. While the families filed a complaint at the Teliamura police station on Friday, alleging the accused, the police, along with officials from the Teliamura subdivision police, under the supervision of DSP Prosenjit Ray, are currently responsible for apprehending the accused.

According to local sources where the incident occurred, state that the two minors went to an 18-year-old youth's house Sagar Marak belonging to the same area to play. Sagar Marak is accused of sexually harassing the two minors. They mention that every morning, all the parents of the area leave for work, leaving the children at home. The boys and girls usually stay at home. The two minors, who were victims of sexual harassment, referred to Sagar Marak as their uncle. They used to go to Sagar's house often to play. After the incident, apparently, Sagar threatened them not to tell anyone anything else could face danger. Therefore, they did not inform their parents about anything that happened.

Now, questions arise about how thorough the investigation into this incident will be under the temporary supervision of DSP Prosenjit Ray and some police officers from the Teliamura police station. The primary evidence for the accused Sagar Marak is yet to be ascertained. According to sources, some police officers, along with DSP Prosenjit are trying to keep various information about this sexual harassment incident confidential both in the media and within the upper echelons of the police department. Now, after the publication of news about this incident in the media, it remains to be seen what steps the upper management of the Khowai district police will take for a thorough investigation of this incident.
