Muslim Man helps a Hindu distressed family to perform Death Rituals

Report: Uttam Sinha

Poet Nazrul wrote, "I have two yellow flowers, Hindu Muslim in one stalk". The poet's message of harmony was reflected in Kailashahar.  Ali Ashrab Mia hails from the temple city of Udaipur, about 250 km from the archaeological city Kailashahar. Jalal Khedmat Al Insan Foundation handed over financial assistance to a needy family through a program at Kailashahar Press Club. The Foundation's Chief Advisor Abbas Ali Al-Jalili, Advisor and Lawyer Kamal M. Mashaddar, Advisory Council Member Abdul Qayyum were present at the event.

To be noted that Balaram Vaidya, a resident of Harijan Colony in Kailashahar died on December 13 at Bhagwan Nagar District Hospital after  prolong illness. He has left behind his wife and a mentally challenged son.  The family is so distressed that they cannot afford to perform the Shraddha even. Jalal Mia, the Chairman of Jalal Khedmat Al Insan Foundation said that Shasthi Vaidya, wife of Balram Vaidya, who died a few days back called him and told that she saw through social media that Jalal Foundation supports many people. So after collecting his number with great difficulty, Smt Vaidya called him.  She told Ali Ashrab Mia on the phone that she has no money to feed her son after his father's death.

Then Ali Ashrab Mia asked Shasti Devi whether she would take money from him as he is a Muslim.  Shasti Vaidya replied that at this time there is no such thing as Hindu Muslim for them. Later, a list was sent to him by the family of the deceased Balaram Vaidya. If this list is shown in the shop, its cost is estimated at 8 thousand rupees. The members of the present foundation handed over a total of Rs 12,500  and a fruit bag to Shasthi Vaidya and Shobhan Vaidya, who is mentally unstable, at the Kailashahar Press Club.  After receiving this help, the family of deceased  blessed Ali Ashrab Mia alias Jalal with both hands raised by the wife of the deceased.

Ali Ashrab Mia alias Jalal gives a worthy reply to those who creates differences on caste. Ali Ashrab Mia alias Jalal created a unique example of brotherhood by forgetting the differences between Hindus and Muslims.
