Minor Child Rescued by SDM Office and Child Line

A four-year-old minor child was rescued from Rajdharpur area of ​​local Kubjhar by the Kailashahar sub divisional administration and Childline staff.  According to the details of the incident, Marjana Akhtar, wife of Sabir Mia, a resident of the area, committed suicide by drinking poison a few days ago. Later Marjana Akhter's paternal family member filed a written complaint against six people including her husband Sabir Mia at the Kailashahar Women's Police Station. Marjana Akhtar's paternal family members alleged that Marjana was subjected to physical and mental torture by her family members including Sabir Mia at night for no reason, due to which she committed suicide by drinking poison.

Later, the police of Kailashahar Mahila Thana arrested four people including Sabir Mia. Marjana has a four-year-old minor child. Her mother Amina Begum approached the Kailashahar Mahila Thana with an appeal to the Child Welfare Committee to rescue the minor. 

Child Welfare Committee Chairman Reba Das wrote a written request to Kailashahar Sub-Divisional Ruler Pradeep Sarkar to rescue the minor.  Accordingly, on Saturday afternoon Child Line staff along with DCM Rajiv Dutt of Sub-Divisional Administrator's office and Kailasahar police reached Rajdharpur and searched the area and rescued the minor from under the bed of a house in that area and brought him to the Sub-Divisional Administrator's office.

Later, the minor was handed over to the grandmother of the deceased housewife Marjana Akhter in the presence of SDM Pradeep Sarkar. In an interview, DCM Rajeev Dutt of Kailasahar Kumar Ruler's office gave the details of the incident.
