12 YEAR MINOR GIRL HAS BEEN ALLEGEDLY RAPED

 As people across the country bowed to the goddess Durga, a 12-year-old girl faced rape in a remote tribal area of ​​Teliamura sub-division. However, the police has detained the rapist with considerable activity. 

According to the source of the incident, a minor girl from a tribal area of ​​Teliamura Sub-Division went out to enjoy Durga Puja with her close relative on the night of Saptami and on her way back home, a young man named Sujit Debbarma followed her close relative along with the minor girl in Tuimadhu area of ​​Chakmaghat. Finally Sujit Debbarma forcibly took the minor from the area adjacent to Tuimadhu School and allegedly raped her.  However, on the night of Ashtami, i.e. Friday at around eight o'clock, when a written complaint was submitted to Teliamura police station, the police quickly arrested the rapist Sujit. 

Talking about this issue, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Pannalal Sen said, "The police arrested the rapist Sujit Debbarma within two to three hours." He added that the police will take legal action against him.  A Case number 73/ Teliamura PS/ 2024 and 65(1) BNS and 6 of POCSO Act has been charged against the rapist at Teliamura PS.
